The Los Angeles Angels have a very good major league team that should allow them to compete for a playoff spot.  While their minor league system is not loaded with impact talent, C.J. Cron has proven in the early going that even weak systems have players that can help the parent club.  So far, the contribution by Cron has not been eye-popping but as he gains more experience, he should provide decent fantasy upside.

• Grant Green (2B/SS, Triple-A) – Fantasy relevance: Low
  
• Taylor Lindsey (2B, Triple-A) – Fantasy relevance: Medium
• C.J. Cron (1B/DH, Triple-A) – Fantasy relevance: Medium – PROMOTED: 5/3/14
  

Notes: For an organization as light on minor league talent as the Angels, there is actually some interesting infield depth in the system.  C.J. Cron was promoted on May 3rd and has already hit a home run.  There will be swing and miss in the bat, but if he gets consistent playing time, our fantasy relevance grade of Medium, will appear light.  Taylor Lindsey is nearly big league ready and has an above-average hit tool with some pop.  With consistent at-bats, he could provide 15-18 home runs with a .330-.340 on-base percentage.  .

2. Next in Line Outfield Prospects

• Brennan Boesch (OF, Triple-A) – Fantasy relevance: Low

Notes: Long-time Detroit Tiger outfielder Brennan Boesch provides the lone minor league outfield depth in the system.  He’s serviceable in short burst but is not really relevant from a fantasy perspective.

3. Next in Line Pitching Prospects

• Wade LeBlanc (RHP, Triple-A) – Fantasy relevance: Low

Notes: If the Angels suffer injuries or ineffectiveness in their starting rotation, they are going to be in trouble as there just isn’t any pitching depth in the upper minors.
