Quick Thought

1. Gleyber Torres NYY SS He’s going to be a star, but it’s going to have to wait until 2018
2. Yoan Moncada CHW 2B Crazy tools but the strikeouts are a problem
3. Amed Rosario NYM SS He’s quietly one of the best prospects in the game…somebody should tell the Mets
4. Eloy Jimenez CHC OF In the game of big power, he has plenty and then some
5. Brendan Rodgers Col SS It’s the Troy Tulowitzki starter kit.
6. Victor Robles WAS OF He’ll be the Top Prospect in the game before it’s all said and done
7. Rafael Devers BOS 3B He can hit and hit with power…and Boston just might promote him sometime in the second half
8. Ronald Acuna ATL OF  Maitan who?  Acuna is the real deal
9. Kyle Tucker HOU OF Will the Astros trade him?  They better not as he could be special
10. Lewis Brinson MIL OF Eh…the first promotion didn’t go so well, but he’s a better version of Keon Broxton and will be just fine
11. Nick Senzel CIN 3B A little speed, a little pop and can really hit…what’s not to like
12. Brent Honeywell TB RHP The Rays are on a roll with bringing up young pitchers.  Honeywell will be next
13. Walker Buehler LAD RHP He’s moving quickly and will help the Dodgers in 2018
14. Austin Meadows PIT OF Does Cutch finally get moved?  If so, Meadows will get his chance
15. Alex Reyes STL RHP Is 15 too high?  Perhaps, but assuming he comes back healthy, he has top of the rotation potential
16. Franklin Barreto OAK SS Has already gotten a taste at 21-years-old.  He’ll be back and he’s going to be very good
17. Michael Kopech CHW RHP Elite stuff…maybe a closer…doesn’t matter, he’ll be good
18. Ozzie Albies ATL SS Given the absence of speed in the league, you can argue that Albies should be a Top 10 prospect
19. Mitch Keller PIT RHP He might be the best pitching prospect in the game.  Needs to stay healthy though
20. Willy Adames TB SS Always gets lost in the shuffle but Adames can really play
21. Francisco Mejia C CLE Elite hit tool with improving defensive skills should translate into a Top 5 fantasy catcher
22. Vlad Guerrero TOR OF He’s not his Dad, but he could be very close…especially in the power department
23. Lucas Giolitto CHW RHP I really don’t know…but I saw him last month and the stuff is still elite
24. Hunter Greene CIN RHP 80 grade fastball, 80 grade makeup could make him an Ace
25. Clint Frazier NYY OF He might be the forgotten guy in a stacked Yankee system, but he still has all star potential
26. Triston McKenzie CLE RHP I’ve been a fan for a quite a while.  If you haven’t jumped on the bandwagon…start
27. Nick Gordon MIN SS It’s taking a while to get going, but the tools are starting to translate
28. Alex Verdugo LAD OF He plays a little out of control, but it doesn’t matter as his loud tools should play just fine
29. Derek Fisher HOU OF My man-crush continues
30. Leody Taveras TEX OF He’s holding his on in Low-A at 18 with a 15.7% strikeout rate and a 7% walk rate
31. Cal Quantrill SD RHP It won’t take long for Quantrill to work through the system
32. Anthony Alford TOR OF With Bichette and Vlad Jr., people are forgetting about Alford.  Don’t…
33. Blake Rutherford NYY OF I thought he would have shown more this year…still a fan
34. Kyle Wright ATL RHP It won’t take him long
35. J.P Crawford PHI SS I saw Crawford twice this year and he looked lost.  Too passive at the plate.  Not ready to jump ship
36. Kolby Allard ATL LHP Top of the rotation lefty
37. Francis Martes HOU RHP Big stuff with a wide body to boot. He might be bored in the minors because he thinks he belongs in the big leagues.  He might be right
38. Sean Newcomb ATL LHP Showed flashes in the majors, but still needs work
39. Royce Lewis MIN OF #1 pick in June is better than the talking heads said on draft night.  Invest!
40. Mickey Moniak PHI OF It’ll be fun to see who the better major leaguer will be…Moniak or Lewis
41. Brendan McKay TB 1B/LHP I hope McKay becomes the first pitcher/positional player.  Probably won’t happen, but we can dream
42. MacKenzie Gore SD RHP Very athletic pitcher that some liked more than Greene.
43. Rhys Hoskins PHI 1B He might see time in the big leagues in the second half. A Matt Adams type of talent
44. Bo Bichette TOR SS I don’t think he’ll be as good as his Dad, but it could be close
45. Scott Kingery PHI 2B A true breakout this year in Double-A. It hasn’t yet continued in Triple-A, but it’s early…
46. A.J. Puk OAK LHP I wasn’t a fan of the pick last June, but he’s proven me wrong so far
47. Dominic Smith NYM 1B Can hit and field, but will there be enough power.  I say 20 home runs, which might not be enough…
48. Forrest Whitley HOU RHP The Astros love this kid and candidly, so should you
49. Ian Anderson ATL RHP How many Braves are on this list?  Good grief, they have a chance to be very good in a couple of years
50. Luis Robert CHW OF He hasn’t made his US debut, but when he does, I’ll be there…
