He’s now up to 20 homers with a .982 OPS in 307 Triple‑A at‑bats. Come on, Rockies — do the right thing and promote Condon before the obligatory cup of coffee in September.
Harry Ford, C, WAS (CBS: 9% rostered) It hasn’t been a banner year for the former Mariner down on the farm, but an injury to backup catcher Drew Millas opened the door, and Ford gets the call. He didn’t take long to remind us of his potential, going 2‑for‑5 with a homer, three RBI, and three runs scored in his Nationals debut. Roster him as a #2 and enjoy the rewards.
Angel Martinez, 2B/OF, CLE (CBS: 43% rostered) Martinez is currently on a rehab assignment, the final step in his recovery from a broken foot that has kept him sidelined since mid‑June. Let’s hope he returns to the pre‑injury form that saw him tally 11 home runs and nine stolen bases in just 226 at‑bats.
Jordan Montgomery, SP, TEX (CBS: 2% rostered) The three‑year run of success ended back in 2023 — a long time ago — but it appears he’s finally healthy and could be activated within the next week. Lefties are always coveted, and Montgomery is worthy of a small bid in case he proves to be a serviceable option for the stretch run.
Christian Scott, SP, NYM (CBS: 45% rostered) In 13 starts (59 2/3 IP), Scott has posted an excellent 2.87 ERA with 72 strikeouts. In his last outing, he kept the Phillies off the board over 5 2/3 innings while adding seven strikeouts to earn the win. He’s on the Mets’ “DO NOT SELL” list for a reason.
Lane Thomas, OF, KCR (CBS: 11% rostered) Lane Thomas continues to mash, going 7‑for‑12 over the past week with home runs on back‑to‑back days coming out of the break. Hop on board the Thomas train and ride this current streak for all it’s worth!
Tommy White, 3B, ARZ (CBS: 14% rostered) A right thumb capsule sprain has sidelined Nick Kurtz indefinitely, so the A’s have turned to former LSU Tiger star Tommy White. White finished his college career ranked eighth in NCAA Division I history with 75 career homers, so there’s no doubt the kid can hit it a long way. Let’s hope the A’s give him ample opportunities to do just that.
