Any comments on Spangenberg? I thought he would be a decent prospect
He has speed but doesn’t have the bat speed and power, so he’s likely a spare part down the road. Could be fantasy worthy those based on his ability to steal bases.
What are the keys to Franchy Cordero’s development? And, how high could he be on this list next year?
Sorry for the late response. Your question got buried – my bad.
Keys to Cordero is just time in job. He’s really young but with plus bat speed and the potential for plus power. He has a surprisingly good approach being as young as he is but there is swing and miss in the bat. But hey, that’s what you expect. He should be a top 10 player next year and could easily pop into the Top 5. A lot of talent there.
Was Yeison Asencio considered for your list now that we know his real age?
Not really close. Makes good contact but never walks and while he has some bat speed, doesn’t project to more than a 45 power grade.
